However, the brand faced three key challenges: Reaching Gen Z and student travellers who aren’t easily persuaded by traditional airline marketing Building trust and relevance with a younger audience who value authenticity Driving real conversions — not just awareness — through sign-ups and site traffic Educating students on why Qatar Airways is a smarter choice over low-cost travel alternatives Qatar Airways needed a content-led strategy that could connect with students where they spend most of their time — TikTok and Instagram — and convert genuine interest into measurable Student Club enrolments.
The Solution
Qatar Airways partnered with SHOUT to power a student-focused creator campaign that combined UGC storytelling + performance media for maximum impact. We activated 9 TikTok nano creators who produced authentic, story-driven videos showcasing: Real travel scenarios highlighting Student Club perks Exclusive offers like extra baggage and flexible tickets The Enrol & Win competition with the chance to win free return flights A strong call-to-action using a unique sign-up code Creators produced content in their own style, making the promotion feel natural and relatable rather than scripted. To maximise performance, SHOUT layered a paid amplification strategy on top of the best-performing creator content, scaling reach, clicks and conversions across the campaign. This hybrid model helped Qatar Airways build emotional relevance with students while driving qualified traffic to the Student Club sign-up page.
